I know that Fandom may not be a precident with all members, but it does have it's merits for some (and some great shopping too ;) ).
We are attending Dragon*Con, Labor Day weekend in Atlanta, September 3-6. It would be a pleasure and honor to be able to meet any others who may be attending.

For years now my friends and I have spent springs and early summers saving for the trip from here in WA. Something always comes up to ruin it though. Have some extra fun for us.

We don't have any Jedi gathering here in the U K. I'm so jealous.

Dragon*Con is a SF/fantasy convention rather than specifically a Jedi gathering but you got me thinking - there are enough of us in the UK between all the different Jedi communities so maybe we should organise something. Any volunteers?

Oh, I know, it is not a Jedi gathering but I believe many would find it interesting and especially those of us that do any of the costuming would find in enjoyable. It would also be a great place to place literature out. It would be a place of the more open minded people. It is what one may make of it.

I think that's a big part of it's charm for many. Not to mention that it sounds like a good time in general.

that is a good point about it being a location to distribute literature....

the costumes are fun, i've made several robes, with my newest being designed for combat....

I would be all for a meet up a sort of Jedi Congress if you will where we and like minded Jedi groups could meet us and share our common bonds in camraderie. I don't like to think of it as 'Jedi-Con'. :P
