Food for thought

A long time ago in a galaxy far away... I have heard many complaints about this line in the Star Wars movies stating it has to be an error because Star Wars is set in the future. There are humans using lasers and lightsabers. Is it just me or is this typical Earth egotism. First off just because there are \"Humans\" in Star Wars did any say they were from Earth? No. Are we also so naive to believe that in a galaxy far away that they don't have advanced technology that is beyond our capabilities? Just something to think about.

these are good observations, i made the same ones long ago...if our galaxy is on the outer portion of the universe then galaxies closer to the center would no doubt be more advanced since they came into exhistance first...at least in theory when based on the big bang....just a thought
