I create this template (in word 2007) can be used to any document, then print as pdf and IF someone has a full version of adobe acrobat,
CONVERT IT, SIGN IT, and Secure IT.

if nobody knows how to do it, ask, I can help...

Here is the file, SAVE IT AS whatever_name.DOTX

Hi 666,

http://drop.io/jediholocron

I've attached the link to the Jedi Holocron, an 1,800 page book that pretty much covers everything Jedi I can think of. I hope this is what you were thinking of.

Primo PDF does all this and is free ;) - it adds another 'printer' to your system which then outputs printed docs as PDF files - which you can also secure ;)

bullzip do it also, and also free, but in any of them you can set security and sign the pdf document.
Because is an adobe format, only ecopy and adobe itself let you format a document with security settings, and also sign it digitaly, is not only create a pdf file.

the thing with any security of text documents - anyone desperate enough to claim a piece as their own can get around it - ie using a optical character reader to scan a file and do the rest as they see fit.

I think the best way to 'secure' a file in this manner (orn act as a deterant) is to use a background watermark - much like the certificates we use ;)

anyway - some of us are old n slow - weve only just got past the concept of an on/off button :D

this is what the template I upload is for

with a watermark on it, page number, logo and name

just as institution, is not a bad idea, to look a little more professional
and identified your documentation and paperwork ....
thats was the hole point

watermarks can be gotten around too, as master kana said if someone wants to take something for their own they won't let that stop them. i have \"modified\" several pdf's that were suppose to be secure simply to see if i could do it. while i am adept with computers and software i am by no means anywhere near as good as some of the people i know. i have even \"modified\" watermarked documents before...you just have to have the right programs to work with the document as well as to crack the passkey/word/code...one of my collateral duties in the navy was to crack passwords and screen systems for any topsecret data that wasn't suppose to be there....now a days i try to avoid cracking passwords because it's too time consuming to do it the old fashioned way and i don't want to download the cracking software because i use my laptop for school...
