interesting, it wouldn't be the first time that a movie borrowed from ancient stories...i do remember watching a national geographic special that mentions a tablet being found in the central u.s. that had icelandic writing on it and one of the legible words was x-wingi, when they carbon dated it it preceeded the timeframe that lief erickson was supposed to have come to north america
