A Dream I keep having was created by
Hello all, I keep having a dream that I cant understand what it's supposed to mean. I keep dreaming that I'm out somewhere and I see my old high school sweetheart that began to ignore me after I finally asked her out on a date (we hung out all year and went to prom together). I keep seeing her in my dreams and I try chasing her down but I can't seem to catch her.
I have no idea what it's supposed to mean or what to do about it, just that I keep having them. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Dreams are a very, very personal thing and most dictionaries only cover the phychological more then the spiritual but you are welcome to search online for a dream dictionary. Also, it sounds like you are struggling with something, your dream is trying to help you overcome this something, perhaps it is love, perhaps the girl is simply a manifestation of something that is illuding you. LIke i said, dreams are very personal things.

im certainly no expert on dream readings etc so dont take anything i say as fact or gospel in this regard.
I think any dream dictionary or amateur psychologist will simply say you are chasing something you cant have - ie the something is the girl/woman and the fact she moves away/you cant catch her signifies the something you cant have.
It may not even be the girl thats the actual subject of the dream - it could be any number of things - ambitions, job, anything 'possession' like.
As pointed out - dreams are a very personal thing - but to be honest - I wouldnt worry too much about them.

One thing you could try that has worked for me in the past.
As you go to sleep meditate on the dream. If you can influence it in your mind you might be able to shift the dream slightly to change the context a little. It's possible that with a change in the context some more of the meaning may become clear.
Good luck and MTFBWY

being no expert at all in dreams, it seems to me you are chasing her, and not catching her like the \"one that got away\". It sounds like she was a chase but that was all. like a wild bantha hunt.
Think in your life and meditate on your situations. What are you chasing that is un-catchable? What wild bantha hunts are you going on? maybe none, maybe it's something internal. What has been going on? maybe you feel like you're spinning your wheeels? maybe you need to START a chase- even thought you think it is a wild bantha hunt.
only through looking at yourself and in your mind can you figure it's meaning. I can tell you only this, dreams are typically symbolic in nature; and the answer is in you. No person here or anywhere can tell you the meaning. The way you find the answer is through meditation and looking deeply at your life and yourself. Hence why everyone keeps saying dreams are personal.
And be open to the concept that sometimes a dream is just a dream.
