a while ago i commented about rites as this:
if our temple was a phisical building we would have a wall for all religions, we'd have a wall with a crucifix, we'd have a wall with a buddah, a wall with a pentagram, etc. the biggest reason is buddah would look really silly holding a crucifix and a goddess candle. The thing is we all have our own space. like a FAMILY we all have a bedroom
well it sounds like the sith or the 5th rite have moved to the garage for more space; and that is fine. you guys deserve your space and privacy. not to wish you away but there has been a site in the works for a long time just for you guys! but all this resignations and anger is just plain stupid.
Maybe Br. John is right, maybe he is wrong about the oath, i don't know the Sith oath so i can't compare. However Br. John made a decision that he felt was for the best of both. Agree or Disagree he did the best he can. he's not kicking you out or telling you to go away he is saying there is a conflict and we ALL take the oath serious, he's honoring the sith oath. as i see it and wanting you to respect that. I can see you all feel betrayed by being asked to not hold office, i can respect that. I can respect your anger and feelings. There has to be some comprimise we can come to on this after all we are all (dark or light) jedi.
Br. John loves you all as do all of us. that's the thing about religion, it's about love! He just told you you can't follow both oaths, He wants us to all respect the oaths we swear. Can't we all respect his decision and just continue with our daily lives and keep the quality and good feelings we have here. this was a place to come and feel good, learn and speak with friends. What happened? to us all! we've let anger, and pride cloud our minds! we're taking a step down a dark path when we all quit.
if we want drama we can turn on the TV. if we want to see anger and people pissed off we can watch judge judy. can't we all just get along?
