IKE was created by Br. John
Ike is coming straight through us in Beaumont Texas. We will lose power and I do not know how long we will be without it. You can text me at 409-338-2707 and I may be able to give updates after we lose power. This live map will update every time you load this post or F5.

This is unbelievable. We just had Rita almost exactly three years ago.

I am so thankful to know all of you are with me in spirit.

I've been up for most of the night with my reserve unit, getting MREs, water, and other supplies ready for anyone in the surge zones that needs assistance, my unit is about to leave to our stationed sites and get ready for calls. As long as I have power I will contine to check in with you here. We are at my grandparents in clear lake where I showed you. Mom is here and we got out as much as we could. I have left you a message on YIM.

The seawall is gone Jay. Sea Wall Blvd is almost under water and the water is creeping up to San Louis Resort.

Kemah Boardwalk is also almost under water.

Be safe.

Well the first offical death of this Hurricane has been recorded. A 10 year boy was killed by a tree. He was killed helping his father take down a tree that was close to their home. It fell on him and killed him. My thoughts go to the family. :(

We are getting steady wind but not much rain yet as of 7:12 pm CST. Where I live is in no danger of flooding but in some parts of the city there will be lots of it.

My family and I are safe. We have only minor damage from falling trees where I am at, but Galveston has flooding to chest level. Minor flooding in the area I am in. My only concern is the huge tree in front of my door at my apartment. I have not heard from my brother Jay since yesterday. last I heard from him he was heading south to help with the recovery effort after the storm. There is some damage in downtown Houston. We are almost through this storm. They are saying it should be done around noon or 1 pm today. Please keep in your thoughts those that are here and across Texas.
