I would like to call the members for a moment of silence, in memory: those who were tradgically killed; the loved ones who were left behind; and those who heroically acted in the rescue services. MTFBW them always.

\"September 11, 2001--a day that will be remembered always. For out of the very worst man was capable of, the very best has been brought forth--through the heroic efforts by firefighters, police and rescue personnel; through the thousands of caring and compassionate volunteers who stepped forward in this time of crisis.\"

Whilst Sept 11th is notable, we should perhaps use the occasion to remember ALL those who have been murdered, be it acts of terrorism or acts of domestic violence.
It should also be a day to celebrate (including the above mentioned) all those people who continue to put their own lives on the line in preventing such things, as well as those who put their lives on the line on a daily basis to help others (Police, Fire-fighters, Air/Sea Rescue, Coastguards, Paramedics, and the military services in general)
Remember that the goal of terrorism is essentially attention seeking.
Nothing justifies killing and maiming innocent bystanders with cowardly acts of violence.
I propose if 'dates' are to be put to a Jedi calendar that today is one of them, not to remember the dead as such, but celebrate those who risk their lives on a daily basis to help the living stay that way.
So please, remember them in whatever act you see fit

I shall never forget 9/11. I lost friends and lost contact with some extended family members in the military to this. I will also never forget listening to the radio on the way to work and hearing \"Oh my god they just hit the second tower.\" I was not sure what they were referring to, but when I got to work, I saw the devestation.
Humanity pulled together in this instance for the best of everyone and not just themselves. They in this time of need finally saw past certain things. We should never forget that.

I mourn for all of the victims and bow to the hero's that pulled us out.
When something like that happens all we can do to hold on to the light is try and find good.
like the fact that on one day, and forever on that day, there are no diferent countries, no war, no hatred. there is just one world of PEOPLE who mourn those lost, together. for one day we have world peace, and it's up to us to figure how to keep it.

I can't believe that it was 7 years ago... in some ways it seems like yesterday, in other ways it seems like a whole other lifetime.
I still think about those who lost their lives, and the families that have been through so much.
I also feel it important to remember all the heroes we had on that day.
I know that a lot of my fellow Jedi on this board are in the military and are in other areas of public service...
I thank you very much for all that you do.
