I am not resigning anything at all. Not to be mean, but this is just another place for all jedi's from many different sites to learn different aspects from one another instead of just one element. In martial arts do the masters resign themselves to one style of course not, so logically why should we (All Jedi on this planet) restrict themselves to one place or style.

This is a good place many new people have come here and many more will. Like Jake said I reiterate I am not resigning nor leaving.

Shows what I know. I thought that's what we were already doing here. If one more site is better then five more should be even more better. Every master should have his / her own site ... every knight too for that matter.

I've always encouraged members to join other Jedi sites at least as guests - that's why we list them in the link section. TOTJF, Jedi Sanctuary etc. I hope I'm wrong but this can only spread things thinner.

Feel free to reinvent the wheel. I have neither blessings or curses but only the weary feeling of I've heard this song before.

Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

That sums up my trepidation. Let me be clear on what I think.

I would adore a non partisan Jedi registry since that's the only way there's going to be local groups and get togethers for the vast majority of us in the near future.

Just like Christianity has many denominations Jediism has more than several.

Some think the idea of rites is stupid while others believe it's the best most inclusive way to go.

Different groups have different standards for ranks while some do not believe in ranks at all.

Some Jedi are Secular Humanist and deny that Jediism is a religion.

The idea is wonderful; it's how to do it that's the rub. So many have tried only to sputter out while some other efforts lead to splits.

Anything that spreads the word of Jediism and leads someone to a better life I fully support. We've long had members here that are also active members of TOTJF. TOTJO and TOTJF in the past were one place.

Our ambitions of an Academy and Library (open to all) are huge projects. It takes plenty of dedicated folks with a wide variety of talents.

As long as focus is not lost no harm can come. I'm still haunted by the ghosts of the Schism (anyone around for that knows it was a living nightmare) yet as a Jedi I realize that fear is never the answer. Concern is another matter.

My instinct tells me that all is well and tomorrow's another day.

We have not forgotten or lost focus on the library. It is coming along very well and is almost ready. Only certain aspects of the library need to be done and then project is complete, after that committee members will be placed in charge of their section and only librarians have the ability to alter or change information in the library. From my understanding the library is the first step to completing the Academy project. We just set this group site up so that others that do not know about us will learn and visit.

I have no intentions to resign and have stated time and time again that this is my home away from home. I can come here and speak with others that feel the same as I do, but also realize that there are many that do not know about our site, but are apart of other sites.

Yes TOTJO/TOTJF were one, but look at it this way, in certain regards they still are because there are members here that are members there and vice versa. We all follow the same path that is set before us by the Force.

we are starting to come to a common understanding, i think. we all agree that Jediism on a global scale will need a centralized form of data processing as well as the need for all Jedi to be able to express themselves, as they commonly would towards a family member or friend, on a worldwide view.

Br. John brought an interesting point to the table: \"Just like Christianity has many denominations Jediism has more than several.\" this, as true as it is, is still just another phrase in a well written post. that is how it will remain if no actions are taken to make our beliefs well known to the world. to place our faith in the Force among the faiths of any and all those who have faith. also, Karol Fett had a good point as well: \"We need to have one Order not a million and those other Orders well most likely start a hole different Order.\" this statement holds the highest truth: we cannot succeed as a faith while scattered and divided. we need to be One Order. the Order of Jediism. though we have many inner groups, we are stronger for it, it allows for personal expression to those of like beliefs and thus allowing for an easier passing of knowledge as well as becoming strong friends in the process.

to be accepted for our own beliefs and not be treated as movie fanatics or be accused of creating a movie based religion (literally, i mean), i personally feel that would be a great load lifted. and, perhaps, when we walk through places in robes, for whatever reason, we would be looked at with a \"little\" less of of a \"This is not a Halloween Party, buddy.\" stare. at least one could hope.

Just to let you all know this project is not in any way ment to compete with TOTJO/F or any other site. This is more of getting Jedi together, not so much an order at all. We have nothing on Yahoo, to my knowledge that is related to any other Jedi thing. At least none that stay very active. Many, many people are on Yahoo and don't always do searchs everywhere. If anyone has a problem then they are free to speak their mind however they choose. I did some search's on Yahoo and didn't find many sites so i decided to start my own with my own agenda for the betterment of the Jedi Community. If some do not wish to join then that is their own choice, not everyone even has Yahoo, but it is popular. So, with that said i am going to continue attempting to get it going. If it fails then i will delete the group but i want to do something more if possible :)
