I finished my ceremonial hilt on Saturday night. To celebrate, Yesterday morning, on a whim, I decided to dress in my robes, with my new hilt to complete the ensemble.
My wife said, \"Whatchdoin'?\"
I said, \"Oh, it's just National Jedi Day, I just felt like dressing up to celebrate.\"
She said, \"Well, you can't stay indoors like this. Let's go somewhere.\"

So at about 1:00 we piled into the car and headed for the Boardwalk in Shreveport. Went to Fuddruckers', saw Speed Racer, walked around for a bit.
No one asked me about my get-up, but people did notice.
And my hilt held up to all the walking around. Which made me feel good.
My wife says my robes add four feet to my posture (I'm 6'2\" already), and she likes that I 'whoosh' when I walk.:)
AND...as if this summer's movie season didn't already ROCK, we saw the preview for the 'Clone Wars' movie. Awe. Some.

Well, you had a more kickass day than I did. All I did was watch Star Wars, and walk around the house with my toy lightsaber (the best I have so far) and towel (it was also Towel Day, for Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy fans).

Next year, I should plan something a little more fun. :)

I am afraid to admit that due to other events I actually forgot about it, but I guess my ritual cleansing of swords was my 'meditative' part for that day

That sounded like fun. It was my sisters birthday so I couldn't do much.
Am I the only one who thought National Jedi Day was on the 4th of May?

I think it is, in the UK... I'd hafta double-check Wikipedia, but the BBC or somebody has something along those lines.

I think May 25th makes a lot more sense. Though if I had it my way, May would altogether be a Jedi Holy Month. :D
