Remaining Jedi when one feels violated

This is tough to do. I realized a couple of days ago personal property had been stolen. Instead of beating up on myself (too much) for not locking the things away I instead made room in a place I could lock the remaining items - thereby not leading the miscreants into temptation. This was a good thing to do; but yet can't shake this feeling of violation. The items were in front of other things that were not taken. Any wisdom from more enlightened Jedis? Thanks. Hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving for those who celebrated it.

Here's a question. What would you do that would make you not a Jedi in this situation?
