Hey! I'm Kyle (aka Raxicorico). I am admittedly a very shy person and I figured this would be a great way to help come out of my shyness bubble.
For those of you who have absolutely no idea who I am, here's a brief summary: I'm a Hispanic and geeky PhD candidate living in Newfoundland, Canada. Favorite hobbies include playing piano, archery, reading, and hanging out with my dragon (Meraxes). For more, ask away :D

If you could only read one book for the rest of your life, what would it be?

You know, I would love to say that I would pick a deeply philosophical book that would have me contemplating life and the universe, but my previous experience would suggest that it would be The Lord of the Rings by Tolkien. I've read it several times in English, German, and Danish and have written numerous essays analyzing various elements at university.

If you could do anything in the world (money being of no issue for the purpose of this question) what would you do and why?

First temptation is to say that I would travel, see as much as I can, and experience new things. But ultimately, I think I'd go for just going for what I feel would lead to a happier life in the long run: be able to move somewhere nice with my boyfriend and have the freedom (without worrying about finances) to pursue whatever catches our fancy. Study what we want, be able to go on our own adventures, but always have that safe place we can return to and reflect on what we've experienced and learned.

Her name is Meraxes, she's three years old, loves acorn squash, and basically believes that she runs the house.

Of course! Brilliant book, though oftentimes very dense. My favorite part was definitely the story of Turin Turambar, which would later be published on its own as the Children of Hurin.
