The Temple of the Jedi order is a lot of things to a lot of people. We've all come here in our own way, all come here to journey along our own path and all come to learn the ways of the Force.

So what is your favourite thing about this place? I'm personally really happy here, and if you're the same, what is it that makes you happy?

I'll start:
The atmosphere. For me it would have to be the atmosphere. Everyone here is friendly, open and kind; as a Jedi should be. Despite there being so many different backgrounds, beliefs, opinions and differences, everyone respects these differences and each other in a way I have never seen anywhere before. To me, the temple is like a home away from home.

Your turn ;) what stands out for you in this Tenple?
Thank you for redoing and may the Force be with you :)

My favourite part is being able to grow and learn in a supportive environment. It may sound cliché, but I've always been one to try to learn on my own due to an unwillingness to show vulnerability.

But, between the materials from my studies, and the support of my Master, brother apprentices, and the community at large, I've been able to recognize and accept that it's okay to need help from others. And as a result, I'm seeing changes in myself. I'm more aware, more calm and peaceful, and I feel like I have a purpose. :)

My favorite part is definitely the community. It's the people that make this place so great. I've made some wonderful friends over my time here and I treasure each of them. I like the interplay between us all here. We can have debates and still get along more or less. It's great to see such a diverse group of people communicating and working together.

“Though, as the crusade presses on, I find myself altogether incapable of staying here in saftey while others shed their blood for such a noble and just cause. For surely must the Almighty be with us even in the sundering of our nation. Our fight is for freedom, for liberty, and for all the principles upon which that aforementioned nation was built.” - Patrick “Madman of Galway” O'Dell

I enjoy the diversity of thought and the diversity of the materials available for study. I've read and enjoyed books I didn't know existed before coming here. I've had a few of those "AH HA!" moments that have changed my life and how I approach my path.

The friendships and support from others here is definitely a plus as well :)

Oh, and the "What are you listening to right now?" thread. My music library has benefited greatly from that one.

I think that fits nicely, almost with what I expected coming in. When I picture a fictional Jedi temple, I picture beings of all different kinds, all different species, with similar goals and principles. Even though they all have radically different cultural influences, languages, even physiology, they are all Jedi, together.

I see that here. People of all walks of life, all different colors, religions, backgrounds, socio-economic statuses...but they all are kind, friendly, supportive, and making their way down their own spiritual path, together. Very little (if any) judgment, only support. There is also honest and positive criticism when others are having difficulty. Confrontation without belittlement.

Some Jedi at the temple are family to me, :) and the temple itself is a kind of environment that I would like to see more often outside the temple.. :) That is what stands out for me.

First of all, the warm welcome I received as well as the warm welcome we give to every new temple member is one of the great values of our temple.

I would have to say the atmosphere too. Everyone here is friendly and share true and kind values. We unite ourselves in our differences, something the world right now has trouble doing... So it's fun to know there is place where people can feel at home. Do they come from Canada, Syria or Russia? No one will judge anyone. We are a community who awnsers to existential questions with something we all love. And we learn and share great values through something we love.

Jediism and the temple of the jedi order has some (if not) the best values in the world. And we study hard, trying to become wiser everyday.

May the force be with you all.

Despite the fact that many people here have had a hard life, everyone here is full of love. Perhaps the relatively anonymous setting helps some, perhaps not having the people around in your daily life creates a comfortable degree of separation that allows for disclosure without feeling like any judgement is meant personally, but only as constructive criticism, but the bottom line is that the flow of this online environment not only allows and encourages compassion, but it sets up things for everyone to be more compassionate towards their self as well. That is the core of a Temple, a place where you feel safe being vulnerable, being yourself, taking off the multiple masks we wear day in and day out, and simply... be, and love yourself for it.

And with each subsequent act of compassion we practice towards ourselves and towards others... well, you know what they say: practice makes perfect.

The pessimist complains about the wind;
The optimist expects it to change;
The realist adjusts the sails.
