Thank you, unfortuneately i view this holiday as just what Lenje has already remarked, it is nothing but a day to sell you mushy love notes, lol. It was once something worth something more but it has been long burried. In truth i prefere to get gifts and say how much a care for someone randomly, this way it is much more of a surprise so here it is.

I'm bitter and lonely and I hate Valentine's day because it just reminds me of how bitter and lonely I am...
I feel like an old person, ahaha. I mean that in the best possible way.

Why, being on your own is just as good as having someone. You don't have to let someone know where you are at all times. And you don't have to worry about someone constantly. I like being with someone but having been without for a while (long ago) i have learned to appreciate the single life. You need to focus on the good things and not dwell on the bad. Honestly, live your life. You don't need anyone to complete you, you can want someone but you don't need them. I hear this very often from younger people than i and i know that i am not that old yet myself but i think i have learned enough to know that you should be happy with who you are and how your life is going before you start looking to have a life with someone else. IMO
