I have been hearing quite a lot about the book, The Jedi Compass, and I was wondering if it is worth the read? Has anyone read it and if so, what are your thoughts? I have read The Jedi Path and it is more like a fandom book to me. It has a lot of intersting information in it, but it is mainly from the fictional universe of Star Wars. So any thoughts on the Jedi Compass would be appreciated.

The Jedi Compass was written by real Jedi, for real Jedi. It's a compilation by many Jedi across the community, TotJO included.
Honestly I could only get through about a third of it. I expect a certain level of grammar and structure in production works and it read more like reading a forum post online than a publication.
It was repetitive but you're seeing the same subject matter from the perspective of many Jedi so as a research point, that would be useful. I think I could have read it easier if I had a physical copy instead of the Kindle version I had so I could hop across subjects at will.
If you're looking for Jedi posts from across the community on common subjects for real practicing Jedi (not fictional ones like The Jedi Path) it'd be a good book to pick up.

I use it only as a reference book. I would never try and read it all the way through! OMG.

Should I read this book before finishing the IP?

I ordered it a week ago; and I will pick the copy up in two weeks. Will see how it goes. It will nice to have a hard copy of something Jediism related around.

If the grammar is an issue, I'd be happy to edit the text. I've been known to freelance write/edit, could tidy it up a bit. This goes for any future works too, for the record. Though I do tend to go a bit crazy in terms of sentence restructuring

Yeah, I know it's not required. That's why my question was if I should read it before or after finishing. That's what I meant.
