I grew up around bikers. My dad's a biker. I trust them and feel more comfortable around them than I do a man in a suit.

My dad did all kinds of charity runs when we lived in PA for sick kids. It was pretty cool. He's a Harley man. Lol

I've always heard good things about bikers. If it's not groups like this one you've mentioned, it's those groups who stand up against organizations trying to picket at funerals and the like. Oh, I'm sure there are groups that aren't all that particularly great, but I'd rather read stories about groups like this one. It's nice to see people out there going out of their way to provide children a sense of security.

Thanks!

I've been invited to join my friend on the "teddy bear run" next year which is a charity run to raise money for the sick kids hospital in Edinburgh, can't think of a better way to raise money than doing something that you love to do.

We have such a bad reputation it's nice seeing things like this in the news for once. Being a biker involves you in a completly new world. You'll chat with fellow riders like you've known them already. Give the biker salute/wave as you ride by. Stop and render aid when you find a fellow biker stranded. There's something about the freedom of a motorcycle that brings up your spirits and more easily frees the space in your heart and mind to help another. At least for me :) There's also the mob mentality that riders get that is more often seen in the news :( . I've got friends who say they're terrified of bikers. Especialy sports bikes!

I ride with the Green Knights, we do Patriot Rides or Flag Rides for funerals all the time. I try to catch all that I can :( many of them are while I'm working and can't get away.

I ride super sports bikes. I've had a CBR600RR named Tora (600cc) (RIP), YZF R1 namde Sigh (1000cc...I miss him), and currently a YZF R6 (600cc) named Aether. My husband rides a Ninja 600-and-change (I forget XD), my Father-in-Law rides a Goldwing, my Mother-in-Law rides a Silverwing.
