love
When I think of the word in relation to the force and the connection between all things, it seems different feels different to how I view the word.
Don't just give me the answer you think should be right, the dictionary definition, I'd be interested in what you truly think love is, personally and in regard to the force.
Everything is belief

I have done this same excercise in self-examination.
Yes, a lot of things I thought were love . . are not.
The feeling of love comes to me in two ways. . .
1) a sense oneness comes over me, is in my awareness naturally, or comes by my call for it
2) in terms of the Force, oneness/inter-connectedness resonates with me first and foremost (although not limited to that defination).
I have love associated primarily with acceptance versus the ego being assoicated with separating and dividing.
When I accept, (which does not mean that I like, agree or understand), I make way for love and peace to be a natural response from the source/Force of oneness itself.
When I accept, it also makes way for personal creativity and greater awareness of the fields of potentiality (also The Force).

One is that of the purest unconditional love that a wo/man has for his/her family, children etc, this is the love that comes naturally, born of the spirit and binds us all together in the force.
Then there is learned love, this love is born of the ego and as such is not real or pure it is a conditioned love that comes with small print and loopholes.
We must learn to know the difference between them and work towards filling ourselves with the pure form as it is in this binding love we will find our compassion for all things and true being.

Love is a very refined and powerfull(maybe the most powerfull)energy that transcends time and space. It is the very essence of the force that connects all life. IMHO
Nothing is more important and when everyone believs that and acts accordingly the suffering in the world would no longer exist.

We need a love smilie.

That being said their is a more subjective love we experience within our personal relationships. We are not perfect and we are all here to heal, learn and grow. Very often we are attracted to and fall in love with a person who already posseses the quality or qualities we are trying to develop and master within ourselves.
That is why many of our relationships can be difficult because they are laced with conditions, power games, and disappointment based on our own expectations. The main reason is that we have not healed our own insecurities, fears and past hurts. We have not forgiven and accepted our own wrongs, defeats and personal failings in life. In our close relationships it is best to focus on trust, respect and admiration for one another. These qualities lead us to a deeper appreciation and understanding of ourselves and the ones we hold dear. The ultimate goal is to learn to love one another unconditionally.

I strive for the latter but all 3 can be a lot of fun.

I have seen one taken for the other. Eros has often been mistaken for romance, though they are not mutually exclusive. Eros has even been mistaken for Agape, in the case "free love". Agape has also been mistaken for romantic love, which has led to feelings of jealousy.
I would say the most significant thing I can say about love is that we're all reading the same book, but rarely on the same chapter.

Is that how you found love with your wife?

... Or by taking ecstasy. Now there's an easy way to instantly and unconditionally love everyone.
Love is all about oxytocins stimulating reward systems of the brain when the original reward is no longer present. The reward eventually gets forgotten though so there needs to be a renewal at some point to keep the love going. Oxytocins are a useful feature for success of the species as it encourages us to be monogamous and care for our children: features of our species we now consider human rights ("The family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by society and the State.", article 16(3) UDHR). Very little to do with the rest of the Force imo.
