Samhain and the Force

As Samhain (or in the Christian calendar, All Hallows Eve or Halloween) approaches, I've been reflecting on it's role within the wheel of the year. Tradition typically holds that Samhain is the even when the veil between the living and the dead is the thinnest, making it easier to connect with the dead. That tradition has carried on in Christianity as it celebrates All Souls Day (and All Saints Day). My question/observation is this:

If this is the day when the veil between the living and the dead is thinnest meaning it is easiest to connect with the dead, and the dead are essentially those who have become one with the Force, does this mean that in reality Samhain is actually the day when it is easiest to connect with the Force, a day when our connection with the Force is particularly strong?

We may or may not have a stronger connection at this time - who is to say? If we believe we will - we probably will. It may also be sensitive to whether one is focused on the 'Living' Force or 'Cosmic' Force (which should unite anyway). In any case, Samhain / Halloween / The Day of the Dead has a truly cosmic origin . . .
