Eating a Raw food diet to lose weight...to feel healthier and more vibration?

I have been working out religiously six days a week for the last two weeks and have lost twenty pounds. Some, have told me that, "Sven, that is unhealthy to lose such a large amount of weight in only two weeks...your starving yourself!" I disagree, more less I have been drinking more water (a gallon a day), working out, drinking protein shakes, eating lean meat (Chicken prepared myself), salads...

however, that being set aside I have also been contemplating becoming a vegan as well. I struggle with the fact of not eating mean being I have eaten it all my life. But, I have become more and more aware of the chemicals and preservatives that are put in our food and I don't like that. I have been watching alot of Ralph Smart Infinite Waters and really do enjoy a lot of what he says. Aside, from my thoughts is there anyone here that is a Vegan or is on a raw food diet? Any thoughts? I Also, have heard that eating a raw foods diet also can increase your vibrations and increase your third eye.

One of the biggest health things I've found is a diet towards managing healthy gut flora, and raw foods do this to good benefit. Another important factor in that is bowel throughput which is where water plays an important part. I think a large portion of the population is over-processing digested food by slow passage times of stool, and bad gut flora. The stomach though also seems to have a large role in systematic inflammation and connects to the brain through the gut-brain axis linking it to things like mood. If you cannot eat raw food, I recommend Kefir and sources of Inulin to help with gut bacteria.

There is a reason why we treat food before we eat it. For one, depending on the treatment, food becomes less perishable, so a big reason for drying or salting foods in the past was so that it could be stored and slowly consumed over the winter months or at sea on long journeys. The techniques got ever more refined to a point where even fresh "raw" foods of today are chemically or genetically treated such that they can withstand being stored for a week at a time without spawning pretty white fluffy carpets all over themselves. Our lifespans of two to three times what it used to be is of course not exclusively attributable to how we deal with our sustenance, but it's no small part by any means.

As for vibrations, I'll put it like this: If a new diet you elected makes your body literally shake more than it used to, please, please, do return to the former. If by vibrations you mean something other than mechanical oscillations then I feel insufficiently qualified to give any advice on the matter until I am at least directed to a dedicated woo glossary explaining what you are even talking about.

Generally speaking, if you have concerns about your health either as it is or as you wish to mold it to be, I highly recommend consulting with a trained expert on matters of health. If your question is too specific for your family physician to feel comfortable addressing it, I have no doubt they will direct you to a more qualified specialist in the field your question pertains to.

I believe they call that "cutting" in the biz...

Gist's reasonably sensible advice of "see a professional" aside, here's some thoughts from someone you've never met! You can trust me, I'm from the internet!

If your reasons for going Vegan are because of not knowing what is in the food you are buying, perhaps there is a simpler option of make connections with farmers and hunters? - You may be able to acquire more "natural" meats (and dairy) if you simply don't trust larger producers. Many vegetables (climate permitting) can be grown locally, as well as things such as eggs.

If you live somewhere where certain things are not local, and can't be had without preservatives and chemicals - then they're probably the things to get cut from your diet.

You can also find out what's in your food if you know not. It's not that the information is secret nor is it for the most part legal for the producers to keep it secret. Now I appreciate that of all the words of latin origin vibration is a more common and understandable one than, say, sodium metabisulphate, but you know enough about the internet to find this place, I'm confident you can find out what those scary words refer to, too. If Big Food wanted to poison you, it would have long happened and there'd have been nothing you could do about it. You are of course free to be paranoid and deprive yourself of any ever so delicious dishes as a result and I'm sure your body will let you know if you're doing it wrong (for example with more vibration), but I would argue that learning more about what you fear would help alleviate said fear much better and at lower cost.

Ok, just for the record please...I am not some sort of conspiracy person who thinks that the people who make our food in grocery stores are trying to kill us or anything weird like that. Though...some of the ingredients I have read on the labels I do find questionable but, I am no scientist and I don't know the reasoning behind it. Ultimately, I want to feel better physically and mentally.

As far as raw foods I have been wondering if anyone else here is attempting or is a vegan in totjo and some healthy tips on how it started. Recently, I have been slowly incorprating it into my diet I didn't think going cold turkey would be wise for my system. So I am adding more veggies and fruits into my diet rather than unhealthy things (ex: sodas and candy, ect.) Until, I have built myself up where I don't need that anymore just like I have been slowly working up to my workouts everyday and have been seeing great results...I am not sure if I just repeated myself or not but maybe this makes things more clear?

Oh, well, if you're just talking about eating fresh("") fruit and veges, meat-that-still-looks-like-meat and drinking water instead of softies, then I've been doing that for decades, and I'm still alive, so I'm sure its fine.

If you change suddenly from a diet of, well, crap, you'll feel funny for about 2 weeks at worst (by "feel funny" I mean "poop funny" )

International site makes it hard to tell where everyone's food knowledge and cultural expectations of food sits.

I don't know if you're talking hardline "only organic food that I've known from seed and used spring water to water and sang mozart to" or "home cooked meals instead of *local fast food joint*"

I personally only eat meat from vegetarian animals*

*that's a lie, I eat predators too, but it's a good funny line.
