Don't be so sure. It was in the news recently that someone ODed on sex (far more powerful painkiller than laughter), and it was treated as a case of manslaughter by police(no joke :O)

Similarly, people have died from laughter before: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_from_laughter

I believe laughter releases endorphins, which is the body's natural pain killer.

I guessing my chances of getting struck by lighting are better but if I had to choose either one to die from.......? ;)

Now there is a very interesting thread title, "How do you want to die? From too much laughter or too much sex?" :cheer: :woohoo:

Actually, vaporised in a nuclear holocaust might not be so bad ...

Of course, I wouldn't know.

I just want to note that a painkiller isn't a healing unless the pain is the only issue.
While laughing, or sex or any other naturally opiating activity may ease a situation, it must not be viewed as a substitute for actual treatment of serious medical conditions. Besides, if you have sensitive lung tissues or a weak heart, laughing and sex, respectively, may be things you want to avoid using too extensively as those may be conditions under which more harm than good may come from it.
