My avatar

I want to know why my avatar was changed. I intended to change it back eventually but it broke no rules nor was it my choice to change it. So what is going on. No one should screw with a members profile unless they are violating some term of the site. I have not been particularly combative to anyone here and have always attempted to conduct myself in a respectful manner so I want to know why this was done.

Was yours one of the "whiteout" ones? have they all been changed?

Yes it was. I had just not gotten around to changing it to something different. However, that does not mean my avatar should be changed for no reason. It was not violating rules nor was it empty. It was a selected picture that was changed without ever informing me.

His was not the only one that had changed very recently by a means other than the profile owner changing it.

I simply changed mine back.

What was it changed to? It is deeply disturbing that this can happen again.

They were reverted to the default avatar, Ari.

I simply find it strange that only those that were white were the ones that changed.

To me this is just annoying. If you felt my avatar was an issue even if it was not breaking rules just freaking PM me. That is all anyone would have to do as the reason for its change has been brought up and is being dealt with. I had just not gotten around to changing it back. But that is not the point its the lack of civility of the act that annoys me. Simple ask and I likely will do it unless I've good reason not to but for it to just be done without so much as a heads up that is annoying.

Agreed. There are better ways of handling these things than the way they have been handled. This is a gross abuse of power by whomever did it.

I second that NO. I dont want trouble just an answer. If it really was the system fine, if it was a person fine just tell me why it was done and why you did not bother to give me a heads up.

I am not an admin and do not know the intracacies of the site. Those affected by the recent reversal to a default avatar should message Ren and/or John directly and ask them what has happened. I spent a great deal of energy around this topic when it appeared last time. I am unwilling at the moment to expend anymore. I don't know what happened. The only one's who may are admins. This is what I suggest. Change your avatar, change your password. If you need to process your feelings around this issue and want to speak with me directly I am available via PM, skype and other means. Please reach out. I am sorry this has happened. I am headed to a local cafe currently and will be unavailable until I return, and then only for a little while, so I may not get back to you right away. I will respond when I am able
