i would be delighted to see peoples jedi robes. i for one am thinking of waiting for after halloween and Xmas as i'm thinking the price of fabrics will drop slightly.
unless i get lazy and decide to just cough up the money and bug War Beauty to make me one... :)

stevef : I have a Full length fully lined wool/wool cloak with hood that I had some one make for me for the Minnesota Renaissance Festival from scratch and not only is it awesome it was made very well and will last me till I return to the Force, I coild not find a better quality garment in a commercial market if I tried and it was worth the price, my point is what ever War Beauty makes you if you go that route will most likely be far nicer then what you could find on the rack. :)
Plus it will be more personalized for you.

That`s a great job Perris! Well done. I could imagine this cloak being used in ceremonies such as on weddings...

While having these things is pretty awesome don't get caught up on thinking that you need to have them because you really don't

I have robes and they are great! But if for whatever reason I lost them I probably wouldn't get any for a long time (or ever) simply because they are really not a priority

You and your actions are what makes you a great Jedi, not the symbols you wear and carry with you

I can't see the pictures which is a shame.

I'd like to have a modern style of 'robes' which don't stand out and make you look like a monk. I prefer to blend into the crowd.

A hooded jacket or jumper but with a slightly larger than normal hood, with the bottoms being a practical day to day martial arts wear, so you have the flexibility to the legs.

I have the ideas in my head but I doubt I'll have the time or know how to make them a reality.

You're English right? A large group of people walking around in hoodies and loose tracksuit bottoms?

In all honesty I don't think people would be calmed by that sight

I know what you meant I was just joking lol

And I'd love to see your robes too Perris!

Yeah, my description does make it sound like a chav hoodie combo. If I ever do get round to putting something together I would try and make it smart, casual but practical for self defence as well.

I love to crochet and want to make a Jedi robe that way. I found a pattern for a kimono and finally found a pattern for a hood. Now I just have to get yarn and try the patterns out. :P Hopefully they work.... If not oh well. A friend of mine is great at sewing and will help me make one from fabric. :silly:

I actually like this one:
http://www.innerfire.nl/webshop/artikelen/meditatie-trui
(click the different pictures to see what it looks like)

The description is in dutch but it basically says:

The innerfire meditation sweater is made of 100% sustainable cotton.

Ant then a lot of talking about how it is a must have / special designed / limited edition

Either way, I like the sweater alot. Its the price thats trowing me off. and to logo. Altho I've read wim hofs book "becoming the iceman" I really feel no affiliation with Innerfire, therefore do no wish to wear their logo.

Maybe it would be possibile to create a TOTJO sort a-like sweater? If others would also be interessed ofcource...

I'd quite like some TOTJO cuff links for when I get married. Any chance they'll be for sale??? As my Fiancée is Christian and the whole ceremony is to be a religious one, I'd like something small to represent my belief on the day B)
