i was working security for the VIP room at the Music Hall and this guy was the headliner
about an hour before he had to go on stage he walked into the vip room with some of his entourage
this particular song had been something of a consolation to me during what was at that time one of the more difficult moments of my life
youre not supposed to accost the talent when you work at venues but the time kept ticking away and i knew he was gonna have to leave any minute and it meant a lot to me so i stopped him and told him my story and how hos music had helped me
i apologised for bothering him

he said it was ok but he wasnt matisyahu he was just a normal hisidic jewish guy who gets this every time he goes to a mati show
