my personal opinion is that for a jedi - service is more important than activism

i see being politically active as being a civic duty which is basically just a part of life for a citizen in a free society - its how you keep your freedom

i see service as a concept integral to the jedi ideal

i like the idea for the group and im not saying anything against it, only reflecting and sharing as the conversation develops

People are complicated.

Rosalyn's purpose and intention is clear to me and it has value for collaboration.

Why it is not sanctioned by the Temple is also clear to me.

I have read the potential problems and in the thread and see the merit of each one.

The thoughts I have now are about the concept, purpose and function of "a moderator or moderators" to screen if posts fit set criteria for posting as set forth in a pinned purpose and pinned criteria for posting. It will get called rules and fought by someone sometime somewhere . . . so what!

Good Luck Rosalyn!
