Existentialism: only surpasssed by Buddha himself.

My Jediism is a mixture of Zen and Existentialism (among other philosophies). I really like Sartre's Existentialism is Humanism and always include it in my Introduction to Philosophy classes. Also, I highly recommend D.T. Suzuki's An Introduction to Zen Buddhism. It's a collection of essays so there is some repetition and some essays are better (more enjoyable? more understandable?) than others.

I must admit I hadn't noticed... Existentialism is the building block of shadow Jediism, but it really doesn't seem popular here.

I don't know anything about the different Jedi variations. In my ignorance, I think of them as being overly focused on the pointing hand rather than that to which the hand is pointing.

It's no different from identifying as zen or existentialist; a self-description or declaration of interest (like the totjo SIGs).

So here is a bunch of arguably brilliant gentlemen, all of which have been as useless and inconsequential to the customer as they possibly could. No support of any kind was offered. And nobody sees that as a legitimate criticism? If this is the wonderful thing about philosophy, then what wouldn't be?

Sometimes I feel like the comic I read was something entirely different from the one that was posted

What, it comes as a surprise to you that philosophy doesn't answer questions the way you'd like it to? Or that philosophers , like all other people in tech support, don't actually know anything about tech support? :silly:
