I find myself unable to communicate my feelings today. Over the last few weeks I have found myself unwilling to read the gibberish in the news. It sickens me to see the lack of respect humans have for one another. Reading the posts on this sight regarding political events has lead me to reduce my time here. There is a hole in my heart that cannot be filled by anyone or anything.  I must withdraw to my inner self to recover the person who is me.

The gist of this sermon is not to ask for anything, it’s not to seek pity for my anguish, and not to teach anything. This sermon is to remind all of us that no matter how strong and centered we think we are, too much is too much! We need to know when to take a break and balance our lives.

Not everything can be fixed with the help of others, and we must know ourselves in order to know when we need to take corrective actions. We can’t fix getting old, and feeling used up is frightening.

I have begun to meditate on the Jedi Creed. It reminds me of who I have always been, even when it was un-named. I have withdrawn from the BS we all do during “down time” to instead complete projects that have been left undone for far too long. I will be returning to my workout regimen that was all but forgotten.

This is a reminder to take serious that which is serious, and have fun, be generous, be caring, be considerate, and be compassionate in every other moment of your life!

Repeat After Me…(as often as needed)

I am a Jedi, an instrument of peace.

Where there is hatred I shall bring love;

Where there is injury, pardon;

Where there is doubt, faith;

Where there is despair, hope;

Where there is darkness, light;

And where there is sadness, joy.

I am a Jedi.

I shall never seek so much to be consoled as to console;

To be understood as to understand;

To be loved as to love;

For it is in giving that we receive;

It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;

And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

The Force is always with me, for I am a Jedi
