A poor choice of words, especially that we have an influx of new members, not all of which are fluent in english...

I do not feel it is a poor choice of words at all. The Spoiler tag quite noticeably says "Warning! Spoilers!" I am quite positive that even new members who managed to make it this far on an dominate english website will be able to understand "Warning! Spoilers!"

But. I have said my peace. Do as you wish, I just feel it is rude to expect people to not say anything when they are just as excited to talk about it as people are to see it. I feel the Spoiler Tags is a fair option to apply for everyone.

Even though despite using spoiler tags, that would leave unhidden content about the movie on every single page of the site?

Consider it a lesson in patience..

Stu also made a very valid point, that's reason enough for people to wait...

Aghh this thread has been hijacked. Such a shame :(

I would have liked to have discussed it. I guess I'll back away from this forum for a while.

Not going to spoil anything but saw it last night and have to say I'm seriously debating whether or not it is as good as the original trilogy. Absolutely loved it both the old and new in it. I think there has to be something wrong with you if you don't like it (being a SW fan anyway). Sure, there is room for how much SW fans will like it but I think very few won't like it.

It had everything in it that made the originals great from a feel/theme POV.

Yeah, I think it was pretty good. I would see it again for sure. The special effects were good and it kept to the storyline pretty well.

On spoilers, I feel as though there are some movies where the whole "I don't want to see any spoilers" thing is a bit ridiculous (i.e. the first Star Trek reboot), but since Abrams made a point of dragging out the teasers and purposefully keeping the plot of the film a secret, I feel like, in this instance, spoilers would really ruin some of the magic. Can you imagine the frustration and disappointment if people ruined the revelation that Vader was Luke's father in ESB after George Lucas did everything he could to keep the secret from everyone including the cast themselves?

There are certain films where part of the fun is the revelation of major plot point, but in this case Abrams has kept almost the entirety of the film a secret and people have been waiting ever so patiently to see it. To spoil it isn't just to reveal the plot to someone who hasn't seen it, it's to disrespect someone else's patience and excitement to see the film they've been waiting for. To me, it seems selfish to spoil it for others who were not able to see within the couple of days it's been released.
