Jedi Clans

I've been reading around on the forums and I've seen a few mentions of Jedi Clans, to include a poll inquiring which Jedi Clan people belong to. I was wondering if that was something the individual chooses or is that something the Teaching Master will help figure out? I'm not looking to figure out mine just yet, but I haven't seen anything regarding this in the forums.

It's not an element of the lore that we actually practice, here. Similar to other elements, in that way. Although the groups could be compared to it, honestly.

Edit: I just did a little more research on what the clans were in the lore, and now I understand what the Clans actually were. Probably should have done that first. Heh.
