Malicious reacted to this post about 6 days agoPushed it to 8 minutes, today, holding the ready stance. After today, it is not unwarranted to speculate that yesterday I did something wrong; I felt the effort through much of the time, today, so I think yesterday I unconsciously rose up to a more comfortable position and thus wasn't hold the stance properly, whereas today I was very conscious of the link between feeling slight relief and rising up, so, consistent, conscious awareness of my form will be critical to my training.Post is under moderationStream item published successfully. I finally remodeled my saber hilt, it's a bit nicer to look at (kind of, close examination of the image will reveal that it's not the best craftmanship), and it's light enough to carry around clipped to a belt-loop. This will be the final incarnation, the "Junk Saber" Mk 2, any future saber hilt crafting will be new, not modifications.Post is under moderationStream item published successfully. Dadof2many reacted to this post about 1 week agooof. My training is going ok, so far- just now I managed to hold the ready stance for 3 whole minutes. I'm aiming to hold it for at least 10, but I've got mistakes to correct if I'm going to get there- I didn't stretch at all before doing this today, and I suspect I'd have done better if I was stretching properly. Consistency is also important- these are excercises I should be doing on some kind of regular basis if I'm going to even maintain, nevermind improve. I know what to do, I just need to do it. Next is practicing some actual form work- I've got a good bamboo stick that'll make an excellent stand in for a saber.Post is under moderationStream item published successfully.
