Had a good first interview over the phone. Have a second phone interview tomorrow. Pending the results of tomorrow's phone interview, I may get asked to come down to Chicago for a face-to-face interview and from there the possibility of a job offer.

I'm healthy, I have a beautiful and wonderful fiance, a funny fish, good car, rather relaxed job, all things considered life could be a lot worse. Take that Monday! B)

I am grateful for people who approach things with love and clarity. Slow to judge with open arms and hearts. Those sort of people have saved me so many times. I have such a huge admiration for people who can use their time and energy in such an uplifting and compassionate way.
I would like, very much, to be more like that myself..
And my kids.
I wish I could be a bit more like them too.

One of the nights in a week where I have my kids sleep over.

After playing together all evening, them letting me join in their game of "the floor is the sea", after the stories have been read and the songs sung, after I've left them to eat dinner and spend time with Mary, just before bed I go in and check on them.

Honestly, those little faces are the most beautiful thing I'll ever see. Totally peaceful, eyelids gently closed. Clear skin, fine hair messy on their pillows. Every feature perfect. Fingers occasionally twitching, acting out their vivid dreams. Soft breaths with the occasional deep sigh as they sleep on.

I am so blessed.

I'm grateful to the flight attendant who offered me a sparkling soda to help calm my stomach after rushing to the bathroom while the plane was preparing to land.

I'm grateful for awesome friends who care about me and to their roommate who put up with my sick and lazy ass while I took over their couch quietly dying.

I'm grateful to the guy who gave me the opportunity for that job even though nothing went as planned on my trip to Chicago.

I am grateful for people who have the patience to deal with the same ignorant questions day in and day out while still keeping a positive attitude. There are some service jobs I could never do, and I appreciate that others can and do every day.

I am grateful to have a group of friends who all see people as humans, rather than their labels. While others are complaining about their friends' ignorance and intolerance being displayed all over facebook, I am happy knowing that none of those ignorant comments came from my own friends. Knowing I will never hear any of that stuff from them is pretty comforting.

im grateful for lifes interesting little mysteries, such as what you said here lol

if i understand, youre expressing your gratitude that the temple is encouraging you to understand french?
