The Grateful Thread

I am grateful that all the hard work has started paying off. Our finances are back in order, our emergency fund is back at the minimum I'm comfortable with after nearly a year on empty, I have a car I love and enjoy, and I somewhere somehow was pounced by my old and proper work ethic. I've gotten more done the last day than I have in weeks!

I'm loving this feeling.

I'm grateful for all of you. It's been a rough couple of days and it doesn't look like it'll get any easier for a few more. You guys have really helped. Thank you to all of you.

Since I've posted in the rant thread recently, it's only fair to post here - and to say that I'm grateful for everything I have been learning about myself and the nature of "love", on a frontier that is a bit new to me.

Every person I am associated with (and plenty of those who I'm not) means the world to me. I hope none of you have ever felt or will feel that I have or had given up on you. And if it ever so was, I'm immensely sorry.

Thank you for the chances that I've been given anyway.

Okay I ranted so...
I am grateful for the opportunitys I have, the experiences I have tasted and the lessons I have learnt and are learning even now.
And I am learning even if it takes pain to teach me. I am still grateful
For everything and everyone.

For my beautiful partner, who came into my life when I had almost nothing and showed me what it means to care for another person. She has known hardship most would find it hard to believe, and remains the most wonderful, kind, considerate human being I've ever met. She has deepened my relationship with my kids and brought new ideas and insight to my parenting. We laugh to the point of suffocation every single day. Her strength, her love of life, and her genuine care for me... care I've really never known before... she's the best thing that's ever happened to me.

I'm grateful for many things... I just can't think of any of them right now, so here's my 'placeholder' post.

I'm grateful for being accepted into grad school. Maybe now I can get the degree I need to work in the field where I feel like I can do something good.

Grateful for my amazing girlfriend, who makes a life a little low on comforts seem relatively OK.

A rented home, a car with insurance and gas, internet, phone, food... Thank you, work. Appreciate you accepting my potential. You don't realize just how much you're contributing to my immanent escape from a potentially Donald Trump government

Pigs or not, at least this planet does have positive gravity, a breathable atmosphere, warmth (heat-wise) and some food and water. At least there's that ....

There is a lot of turmoil happening with families in my former religion right now. New policies put in place are divisive of families with gay or lesbian children or parents according to the families of those affected. Watching this from the outside I am a spectator with a bird's eye view.

I feel like I am watching this "opera" play out in front of me. I see my former faith playing their part in the great game as best they know how; I see the critics of it fighting back, hurt by it, doing what they can to mitigate it, in short, playing their part in the great game the best they know how.

And so I watch from afar, willing to lend my support and opinions on what I think is right, but not entangled in the powerful emotions that are gripping people in this hard time.

Emotion, yet Peace.
I seek more to console than be consoled.

I am grateful to Jediism for helping me play my part in the great game. And enjoy doing it.

Those moments of clarity that allow one to comprehend - if only briefly - just how f*cked up things really are ... :laugh:

I am grateful for the entire journey I have been granted in life so far. I've been a football player, a warrior, a traveler, a teacher, a student, a wise man, a dumb man, and many other things... I'm grateful for my wife and kids... All in all I'm just grateful to be alive. Looking forward to kicking in more doors and breaking more sh*t.
