I like exploring them, but more so the original meanings rather then contemporary use. To me it really brings Taoism to life if the language is explored that way.
Looks like officially they used 力 Lì
en.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/%E5%8A%9B
Which is obviously a woefully inadequate translation from English into Mandarin... or is it?!
Perhaps 氣 is a better option
en.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/%E6%B0%A3
or 寶, as in the Three Treasures of TCM
en.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/%E5%AF%B6
or perhaps 浮 or 幻 or maybe even 極!?
What do you think?

Thank you!
I read the descriptions of all those hieroflyphs. I agree: the hieroglyph 力 is most suitable for determining "Force".
I noticed a very interesting thing. On this poster, the word "Force" is written by two hieroglyphs: 氣 and 力.
氣 - life energy, vital energy;
力 - force, power, strength.
In China, even the writing of the word "Force" conveys part of its essence ...

I think that is actually 原
en.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/%E5%8E%9F
... so 原力! Raw/primary/causative, force/strength.
原力
Yuán lì
Force
原力与你同在
Yuán lì yǔ nǐ tóng zài
The Force is with you
Still prefer to look at Taoist concepts personally

The Tao. The Path. The Way.
The symbol depicts a person running along a path. It is not specific, as we all have our own paths.
There is a fine line between insight and insanity.
