well today i took a desperately needed day off and slept mot of the day.Howeverr, I still listened to the next part of my lesson which my comments will be posted in my journal and contemplated which rite if any i wished to choose. This is a hard decision for me cause each of them call to me in their own ways and have lessons that I need to learn yet. However, after viewing some of the posts in the Pureland riteI feel that this fits me best except for one thing which is my own peronsal viewpoint...in the description of what the Pureland rite is it is stated that Jedi who follow this path tend to follow it exclusively. For me, it would be more of inclusively as I believe this rite is striving to get to the esence of all which we as Jedi deem it the Force. However, I can not ignore every other belief and practice I have learned to exclusively follow the Pureland rite but instead seek to understand the essence that lays behind what I've learned and why it manifests into certain beliefs and practices. Aa such I feel that if I chose any rite at all it would have to be Pureland....Any suggestions or comments would be most appreciated especially from thoe who associate themelves with any of the rites.

Rites are optional. I do not belong to any of them.

Well - BrJohn and myself (for technical and real world legal reasons) cannot be fixed to a single rite as such - however I am currently acting head of the Humanist rite.

That aside - basically if you dont 'subscribe' to a particular rite - then your default is Pureland Rite - basically the Jedi rite with no added extras.

But as said - rites are generally optional and some people find themselves changing their rite as their lives and circumstances change - so its certainly not a fixed part of your faith - basically - as its YOUR faith - you can do what YOU like (within reason :D)

If you have any questions on rites - feel free to contact any of the Masters - I especially suggest the appropriate heads of the rites though.
