Rember back to your elementry and middle school days. Days of playing dodgeball in the school gym with the other kids. Everybody having fun without any other cares in the world focused on the game. I dont know about any of you but what happens next was probably my first tast of the force. You see the ball coming at you but instead of getting hit squar in the chest and getting the wind knocked out of you something strange happens. The world slows down, suddenly that speading ball isnt speeding at all and you neatly sidestep it as you watch it float on past you. Anybody else ever have that spider sense? To anybody that hasnt watch the first spiderman when he fights flash in the hallway. Flash trys to punch peter and the whole thing slows down and he just side steps everything.

This has happend to myself on more then one occasion. Playing dodgeball you see that fast ball just coming right at you and neatly move out of the way. Ive caught a football with my neck before just by tilting my head to the left as it slid in there. Just a few nights ago I was running with my dog when he did what normal dogs do, he stoped. What made this expecially annoying is that he stoped right in front of me. Time slows down and I have plunty of time to jump the german sheapard dog spread eagle and land neatly on the other side.

After meditating on it for a short while I decided to try an experiment. Perhaps if I concentrated, fell into the force and tried to slow down the world around me perhaps it could be done. So while I ran I concentrated on my breathing, freed my mind of all other thoughts and just concentrated on my breating. For a few breef seconds while I was totally free and concentrated I slowed everything down and looked around and saw that indeed for at least a few seconds things where going slower.

Are these the things the force allows us to do? or are these just the things that we rember after the fact to make them sound more fantastic then they really were? When time slowed down was the car just slowing down for some other reason and nothing had really changed? Or did the force speed my perception up to make everything else seem slower?

Could these be the first steps into a larger world? or just the wishfull thinking of a smalltime geek?
