When it happened to me I dealt with it by removing myself entirely from the situation, but I know that is not always possible. It is much harder with family, for example.

It is pretty easy really :

Were you able to get the message I sent ?

Right under the box where the message is, there is a text box ... You just click in that and type your message.

Under all that is a blue button ... you click that, and it adds your reply to the 'conversation' (the message chain).

True its a lot more difficult with family, There are some situations where I can't remove myself from the situation... What do I do then?

Without knowing the situation I'm not sure what advice I can give you.

If Alex has messaged you I would see if you can find a way to view it, because I know that he will give you some good advice.

If you haven't had a notification come up, at the top of the page, under the home button, there is a little speech balloon. Click on it and it will open up a little window, click 'show all'.. and you might be able to see Alex's message there.

To the right of the menu under the announcement banner are three icons. The icon all the way to the right (message bubble) will have a number by it as a notification of new unread messages. Clicking it pops up a que of unread messages. Click the message you want to open, read it and reply as needed.
