To "weigh in" here. There are many songs that I find help me "regroup" and find my center in troubled times. Still more songs that I like and that enhance my calm and/or inner peace. In terms of "Jedi teachings" tho, I'd have to say that nearly any song by Trevor Hall is good. He's an American (born/raised in California), and a practicing Hindu, but much of his song content is applicable to "Jedi thinking". I'd like to include a sampling of lyrics from multiple songs here.

First, this is a song that I find brings me great peace and "realigns" me quite nicely to my spiritual center when I'm feeling "off". I especially enjoy the usage of the symbolism of the "lime tree". Many (eastern) religious mythologies hold the lime tree to be a symbolic representation of "god's love", and while I don't believe in "god(s)", I can feel a similar connection and one-ness with the universe thru the Force.

The Lime Tree

"The Lime Tree"

Spark a match and watch the candle burn
The wick runs out and love takes its turn
On fallen angels and broken sounds
We will last past the final round

It took a while for you to find me
Because I was hiding in the lime tree
Above the city in the rain cloud
I poked a hole and watched it drain out

Parallel to the city streets
Our broken crowns beneath our feet
But as we walk across the diamonds
We know that love is always shining

So save me, love, save me all the time
I'll wash you down with a simple sip of wine
And toast my glass to all my loved ones
To let them know that the stars, well, they still shine

I think my next "favorite" Trevor Hall song for Jedi teachings would be "House of Cards". I think it's good for understanding the nature of balance, and the importance of perseverance.

House of Cards

"House Of Cards"

So here I am now
Another difficult round
And it's tough to swallow
But I shall push on
Onto tomorrow
Sometimes it rains
And sometimes it pours
And it's coming down my baby
Down to the floor

I guess you got to know the target before you aim
I guess you got to treat pleasure and pain the same
If you're lonely darling sing my name
I shall follow your voice through the sun and rain
Times are getting crazy baby
Times are hard
I shall not lose strength
I shall not lose heart
Pick up my bow and arrow now and shoot for stars
I shall never fold my house of cards

Some people try
They try to rob your heart blind
They try to control your mind
Telling telling you that everything is fine
But I won't be the fool
I come from a different school
Where my mama is mighty
Where she dances and rules
So give me any mountain
And I shall climb
Climb to its peaks and kiss the golden sky

Finally, I want to leave you with an excerpt from the lyrics of "Where's The Love" (Trevor Hall)

"Where's The Love"

So many gods but no love for the people
My mama told me that we're all made equal
What are we fighting for?
Why are we still at war?
Where's the love? Where's the love?
So many prayers but where's the prayer for peace?
My papa told me that we all must serve and feed?
What are we fighting for?
Why are we still at war?
Where's the love? Where's the love?

Part of my signature is a line from Trevor Hall ("Unity"). I really feel like anything by him will "speak" to the listener in a positive and beneficial way.

This song literally has Jedi teachings in it, specifically, the Creed (Prayer of St. Francis).

It's pretty cool when you think about it, a white Sikh woman singing a Christian prayer that has been adapted to a new religion/way of life (Jediism)

Two Major lessons...

1. Dont judge... "You dont know what its like"

I have been thinking about songs that reflect our teachings. I think this song goes to the heart of conflicts everywhere:

The Eagles - Hole in the World

There's a hole in the world tonight.
There's a cloud of fear and sorrow.
There's a hole in the world tonight.
Don't let there be a hole in the world tomorrow.

They say that anger is just love disappointed.
They say that love is just a state of mind.
But all this fighting over who is anointed,
Oh, how can people be so blind?

There's a hole in the world tonight.
There's a cloud of fear and sorrow.
There's a hole in the world tonight.
Don't let there be a hole in the world tomorrow.

Oh, they tell me there's a place over yonder
Cool water running through the burning sand.
Until we learn to love one another,
We will never reach the Promised Land.

There's a hole in the world tonight.
There's a cloud of fear and sorrow.
There's a hole in the world tonight.
Don't let there be a hole in the world tomorrow.

(There's a hole in the world tonight.)
They say that anger is just love disappointed.
(There's a cloud of fear and sorrow.)
They say that love is just a state of mind.
(There's a hole in the world tonight.)
But all this fighting over who will be anointed,
(Don't let there be a hole in the world tomorrow.)
Oh, how can people be so blind?

There's a hole in the world tonight.
(Hole in the world)
There's a cloud of fear and sorrow.
(Fear and sorrow)
There's a hole in the world tonight.
(Ooooh)
Don't let there be a hole in the world tomorrow (repeat three times)

The one which springs to mind is Tattva by Kula Shaker.

Tattva takes its name and chorus from the sanskrit "Acintya bheda bheda tattva" meaning 'the simultaneous difference and non-difference of reality' - essentially that despite everything being different, it is all the same. A very Jedi message, as are the lyrics:

Tattva - Kula Shaker

Tattva, acintya bheda bheda tattva

Like the flower and the scent of summer,
Like the sun and the shine,
Well the truth may come in strange disguises
Send the message to your mind.

Tattva, acintya bheda bheda tattva

At the moment that you wake from sleeping
And you know it's all a dream,
Well the truth may come in strange disguises
Never knowing what it means.

Tattva, acintya bheda bheda tattva

For you shall be tomorrow,
Like you have been today,
If this was never-ending,
What more can you say?

Loved this band when I was about 15, some of their stuff definitely still holds up.
