This is an old philosophy that I once held to, before my arrival at this glorious Temple. I decided to relay it, as it might prove useful to someone at some point. It states as follows:
“Any man may raise a rock, any man may crush it. Any man may summon the storm, but what man can become it? When you walk in the dark you a blind and will stumble, but if you *ARE* the dark, you shall see light where there is no light and all within thy realm are subject to thy will and influence. Seek not to bend the dark side to thy will, neither should you bend to its. See ye instead to one will the darkness, seek ye a state of symbiosis, the darkness both master and student. When one is the darkness, then the transformation that shall lead to thy true self can at last begin.”

Certainly food for thought. It opens a logical pattern. The problem is though that no human being even before birth is a Tavola Rasa and never can be. To become darkness we start from who we are and what we have become so far, and in our return as an expression of darkness the tracks we have left in life will always be crossed.

Yes, and once the dark fills a person, completely and utterly, then and only then will the full power of the Dark Side be theirs to control. The the task becomes to focusing and releasing that power upon the world around them. This is something, that I have been studying for many years and never learned.

As in a jug filled with water. The jug retains its qualities distinct from those of water. The water can only be poured out efficiently if the jug is solid and has an adequately shaped opening at the top and if the water retains its liquid state. The ability to pour out darkness as light depends on a persons qualities, capacities, gifts, abilities, will... . That person has to be able to deal with himself, creating the right conditions. If you have no power over yourself then you have no power over whatever it is you want to give.

Ah yes, but if the jug is crafted from metal, such as iron, the water could possibly corrupt it container and cause it to rust, just as the Dark Side, if pursued without proper precautions can rot the wielder's nature irrecoverably.

That is another point I wish to make. I believe that, yes, while no one is borne evil, there are those borne to the Dark Side, those who are raised in Darkness and who's rise to becoming Lords of the Sith is inevitable. I am one of these, I could not change my nature if the fate of the galaxy depended on it.

I believe all have a choice over their destiny. What you do and how you live reflects which side you decide to be on, not necessarily what is in your heart or on your mind.

As i have read froma book written by Konstantinos there are four sides to light and dark. And evil is amongst them.

There are the good light people who are generally good and give freely of themselves to any who ask. These are usually people who give to charity without thinking of the tax return at the end of the year. Peopl who give to church and follow a moral compass they usually set pretty high,

There are evil light, these are often those who pretend to walk in light just to get their way, televangelists who only want people to send them money, people who give to charity only to get money at the end of the year, and people who are deeply only out for themselves more then any other.

Then there are the Evil dark people who are generally 'bad' people. Murderers, thieves, degenerates, low-lives. You know, the kind who tend to end up in prison and deserve to be there.

And last there are the Good Dark people. These are your typical goths. Generally good but prefering the dark from the light. Not all are goths however/ They often have a moral compass that guides them down a path that is genreally considered to be kind and sharing. Although what is on their minds tends to be black as pitch what is in their hearts are usually very generous.

I have learned this a few years back and it has stay with me, i would say i am Light Good, leaning ever so slightly to Dark Good. I don't think everyone is perfect discription of any one of these though. There are reformed Murderers and sometimes people who snap and kill people because of 'pressure'. You never know what someone is going to be like from one year to the next.

Though mt faith teaches me that there is only two sides to light and dark, good and evil. If I were to count myself amongst your system, sister, I would be counted as one of the Good Dark or, in the the lore of Dungeons&Dragons, Lawful Evil. In that I am Evil, but because I fear the law, I obey it.
