Terrible Idea

It's very interesting that today during some reading I read this... and I can imagine this relating to 'spreading the good word' as it were.

So... if that's not clear, perhaps 'leading' or 'telling people' needs to be done simply with your own personal behaviour and how you handle yourself... Does that make sense?

Just a thought. Everyone is so concerned with temples, but why not work on starting local chapers first?

*shrugs* I'm more curious as to who it is that feels they have to hide behind a new account and one with a name that resembles that of a respected member of ToTJO.

Let's see the first time you came in you posted something asking about how people identify themselves with regards to "Jedi"- is it Jedi, Jediist, Jediism. You indicated that you have no real working knowledge of who we are, you are still learning. That was 28 March 2015.

Earlier this month you commented in a humor thread regarding televised news agencies. And then commented on a thread regarding Pacman vs. Pong.

So just a point of curiosity- why do you think anyone here respects your ability to make a judgement on anything you've just stated? You've not even taken the time to get to know any of the people on this board or how ToTJO has helped them take on their own Hero's Journey.

I agree with Cabur Senaar... this rings with a great truth - a Native American might say, "There is power in silence"; A Christian might quote Matthew 6:1 through 8; still another might say, "quietly setting a good example is the noblest way to teach". All a bit different, but can all relate to what you said here - good stuff!

I think this would be better. Establishing a local "temple" in a pre-determined locale for a periodical (week/month/etc) meeting would be better served than to amass our entire order in one place, bring funds together, and build a building that not everyone in our order would have the logistical capability of visiting once, let alone commuting to for continuous studies.

Jedi have been doing Gatherings and Chapters since 2002. Meeting up offline, training together, studying together, and partaking the social friendship's that has brought many of us together like family. Chicago, Colorado, California, Michigan now has two Chapters....These are things we should be supporting and developing further. These are what will lead to more stable and permenate locale for "Temples" Michigan has already served as home and retreat for several Jedi in need by simply opening up our extra room to them. The Jedi Temples are you home and backyard.
