Jedi Lightsaber

Every LED saber I know of is a perfectly functional flashlight. Aside from that, TCSS also sells parts to upgrade particular flashlights with blade holders or hilt parts. But removing blade and blade plug leaves you with a reasonably powerful flashlight as it were. Just be careful not to direct it into anyone's eyes. Depending on the light source, collimation and how it is powered, some can cause permanent damage to the retina.

Well... I just ordered this spring-loaded self-defense baton that looks a lot like a lightsaber hilt when it's not extended. Since it's a weapon that hides itself in a metal hilt, with a rubber grip and a belt-clip, and it's a weapon intended to end conflicts and defend oneself rather than attack others, in theory, it's the closest thing to a real lightsaber that I'll probably ever carry as a Jedi (if I become a Jedi).

Even with my blade installed my saber is bright enough to light my entire apartment from the living room...no matter what color I have the blade at...

YES! And this past December I finally did it myself. I bought an Ultrasaber, about as cheap and basic as possible, and decorated it myself:



This is an older picture and doesn't include the gold covertech clip I attached. I call this one the "Desert Dagger"

I'm planning to work on another one. I have an extra-long silver-bladed Ultrasaber that I want to be sort of the opposite of the Dagger. "Colder", so to speak. I have some silver spikes that will surround the blade. Just haven't had a change to work on it yet
